New Zealand is also a preferred destination for studies due to the high average incomes. As per data from Statistics NZ, the average hourly earnings increased in the quarter ending December 2016. The average hourly earnings for full-time employees working in the public sector is $37.63, and that of the private sector is $27.74. This amounts to $1417 per week for full-time work in the public sector, and $1055 per week for full-time individuals employed in the private sector.
