English is the language of instruction at RGU, and hence students need to demonstrate proof of proficiency of the same. Students who wish to pursue an undergraduate course need to have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 in each of reading, speaking, writing, and listening. The University also accepts PTE scores with an overall 56, and minimum 51 in each component. Other equivalent qualifications accepted are TOEFL iBT (overall minimum score of 80), Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE), Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE) (overall minimum score of 169), Integrated Skills in English (ISE III) (with a Pass), and Integrated Skills in English (ISE II) (with distinction).

If you wish to pursue any of the Robert Gordon University postgraduate courses, it is mandatory to have an IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Alternatively, other accepted qualifications include PTE Academic (minimum overall score of 61 with 51 in each component), TOEFL iBT (minimum overall score of 88), Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE), Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE) (minimum overall score of 176 with 162 in each component), Integrated Skills in English (ISE III) (with a Pass), and Integrated Skills in English (ISE II) (with distinction).

Besides, there are around 250 workstations WiFi, photocopying and scanning services, printing, and desktop power for charging your devices. You may use the library and borrowing facilities to conduct your referencing work, database searching, and any other aspect you need help with.

Some other supporting facilities on campus include counselling and well-being services, a virtual learning environment (known as CampusMoodle), health and science facilities, law facilities, engineering facilities, and food outlets on the Garthdee campus. 4. Pathway programmes

If you wish to pursue your dream of higher education, but do not qualify academically or are unable to meet English language requirements for direct entry, do not worry. The University provides pathway programmes that offer guaranteed progression as long as you achieve the minimum pass marks.

You may undertake the pathway programme at the International College at RGU, which is located in the heart of the University campus. The pathway programmes entail studying for two semesters and provide personal support from teaching staff. Besides, you may enjoy the benefit of smaller class sizes.
